This music is quite creepy its not exactly petrifying but It will work for my trailer. It uses a lot of brass instruments and pianos at a slow duration which gives it this tense atmosphere. It has a lot of high pitches and echoes which once and exaggerates the eerie atmosphere. The creator ion the music has given me permission to use this track as long as I have asked permission and credit them pun. my work.
For my trailer a lot of my shots are very fast while this is a slow paced soundtrack so it may not correlate with the footage. Plus a lot of the instruments in the soundtracks are very dominant and some ofd the scenes may be dominated by other audios on the trailer. Plus I was looking for a soundtrack that has very loud spooky noises so it will make the audience jump. This is quite too quiet for my personal liking. If I do end up using this soundtrack it would be for a long duration and only a small scence because for the scenes which show the main protagonist as behaving psychotic this is way to slow and doesn't give that thrilling effect that I want.
I really like this soundtrack its very eerie and creepy. I love the Childs voice and in horror movies children are consistently used as their innocence is juxtaposed to sometime menacing and evil within horrors. It has a very high sweet key of pianos in the back which sound petrifying, plus the duration is not too slow so it won't clash with my clips. Its also free the creator has allowed me to use this along as I credit them as the original creator.
However, the problem with this audio is that there is no children in my trailer so it may sound strange and out off place with a child like voice and no children present in the scenes.Plus because its so melodic it can clash with some of my audios, as a couple of them replicate that quite whispering pitch and I don't want the soundtrack and the voice overs to clash. I would probably use this for a small scene or as extra soundtrack just in the back to reinforce this eerie, thrilling atmosphere but I would not use it for my main audio for the thrilling or the love scenes are it doesn't have the thrilling effect that I desire.
I am definitely going to use this in m y trailer it has the high and low variations of sounds that I want. It goes very eerie and thrilling as it uses a lot of wind instruments at a low key. It then fades into different effects some loud, echoing and piercing which is certain to give the audience a fright and make them jump. If I have found another soundtrack I will use this one predominately for the thrilling clips. I will definitely incorporate it though even if I have to trim it to the seconds that I like. This is the type of soundtrack that I am looking for. The soundtracks essential as this makes the trailer frightful and its those loud bangs, and unexpected screams that will make people jump.
Even though I have not constructed and organised my clips yet. I am definitely using this soundtrack for my trailer. This is literally the definition of the soundtrack I was looking for. It has different durations, intertwined with both low and high sounds, some which are echoing while others which are quiet. It then fades into a sweeter more melodic tone, which is a normal speed and that will work well with other audios such as speech on top of it. This variations enables me to have the freedom and construct and personalise this around my clips so the beat is on point with the trailer. This soundtrack is very thrilling and petrifying and it will surely make the audience jump plus it will work extremely well with my clips. I have decided that I'm using this soundtrack as the dominant sound for the disruption scenes of the trailer which shows the protagonist abnormal and obsessive behaviour. For added exaggeration using the scary sound effects soundtrack in the background will work nicely with this soundtrack.
Because the exam board only allows 14 seconds of an actual existing produced song. I have cleverly decided to use the instrumentals of the songs I would like to use. It was essential I had some form of love song in the equilibrium of the trailer. As without the music, the trailer was very dull and quiet and the romantic scenes were a bit tedious and it appeared longer than it actually was. I thought Taylor Swift love story would be very nice. It as a lot of soft high key instruments such as pianos and predominately an acoustic guitar and it exaggerates the romantic love scenes. My only problem is that this soundtrack is a typical 'country' instrumental and I'm not sure the genre 'Country' will work well with my clips. I like it a lot and its defiantly a potential to use for my trailer Burt if I don't like how it works when my trailer scenes are constructed then I will not use it.
So far this is my favourite, its a very harmonious and melodic sound. It really sounds romantic and as its the genre rhythm and blues its quite slow paced and as I want my shots to be very slow so it exaggerates how infatuated the couple was with one another it works well. Its a very sweet and uplifting tune and I believe this will work well with mob trailer. But its definitely not definite as when the shots are in order the soundtrack could not sound good with it at all. I prefer something slow and quiet melodic, rather than a fast and upbeat because it would not work well with the Mei-sen-sence of the shots.
After doing more research this is my favourite instrumental, even though ironically its an instrumental for a breakup song and I'm using it for a romantic loved ups scene. I really love this instrumental is very melodic and beautiful at first only the high key piano can be hared then it later fades in the a more uplifting beat with different instruments. So for the predominately piano section it would be nice to start the trailer of with the establishing shot and then when the other scenes showing the couples relationship fading in the rest of the clip plays. The beat works well with my shots and I personally love the instrumental I am definitely going to use this one.
