I have used this illusion effect within my trailer and the reason I created this close up shot of the actress eyes and a bright vibrant light flashing. Is because she has just taken cocaine and after researching I have learnt that cocaine mostly affects the individuals eyes it looks dazed so to further exaggerate this uneasy psychotic behaviour I have decided to include a bright light with gives the illusion that she dazed and in another state.
The way I created this FX effect was in photoshop I have divided the video into separate clips and for the first clip I have got a copy right free picture from google of a bright light. This is the radiant light to show the dazed and drugged illusion which is the first sign of her psychotic behaviour.
Then for the eyes clip, I turned up the vibrancy, the saturation and hue on the image so her eyes becomes bright and changes colour like the effect. It will then turn to its natural state, which I will then use a natural clip to show the transition.
